Cycle0 SPV2 SL (Cycle0 Bellcaire SL) has carried out the project “Installation for processing cattle manure for biomethane production in Bellcaire d’Urgell (Lleida)”.
The project consisted of the construction and commissioning of an anaerobic digestion plant and associated systems for the production and energy use of biomethane, including the reception of raw materials, biogas production, upgrading to biomethane and digestate treatment.
The actions carried out have made it possible to recover cattle manure, reduce emissions associated with livestock waste management and produce renewable gas, contributing to the energy transition and the climate and circular economy objectives of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan.
The project will enable the annual production of 7,923 MWh of renewable biomethane and a net reduction in greenhouse gas emissions of more than 118% compared to the reference fossil fuel, avoiding the emission of more than 2,500 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent per year.
The investment in the project amounted to €2,054,000 and received funding from the European Union – NextGenerationEU, within the framework of the Recovery, Transformation and Resilience Plan (PRTR), through the Incentive Programme for Unique Biogas Facility Projects, regulated by Order TED/706/2022, of 21 July, for a value of €400,325.46.
