Tube trailers, (mobile platforms) carry up 20,000 litres of gas each. The high energy density of bio-CNG means more efficient transport.
First privately owned gas grid injection point in Spain. Accepting injection from tube trailers bringing gas from Cycle0 plants.
The first privately owned injection point on the Spanish gas grid, 100% equity funded by Cycle0 was delivered in partnership with Nedgia, the natural gas distribution unit of Naturgy.
The injection point is the destination of the virtual pipeline, delivered by compressing the renewable gas to create bio-CNG (Bio-Compressed Natural Gas) which is then transported by road to the injection point by tube trailers (a mobile platform consisting of multiple individual cylinders connected in series, with a combined storage capacity of some 20,000 litres).
The gas is then safely decompressed and injected into the gas grid.
This is a pioneering solution to the Spanish biomethane industry’s key challenge – getting access to the grid for remote green gas producers.
