London, 4 April 2024

We are pleased to announce our membership in the United Nations Global Compact and the UN Global Compact Network UK — a voluntary leadership platform for developing, implementing, and disclosing responsible business practices.

We’re proud to join the world’s largest corporate sustainability initiative to foster sustainable development at a global scale. As a pan-European biomethane platform at the forefront of the energy transition, we’re continually pushing the boundaries to provide more carbon-negative, sustainable renewable natural gas (RNG) solutions.

Our commitment to sustainability extends beyond RNG production to all aspects of our business. As such, joining the UN Global Compact marks another significant step towards reaching the highest level of environmental, social and governance standards throughout our organisation.

As part of the global compact, we are joining over 15,000 companies in more than 160 countries dedicated to taking actionable steps to foster responsible business action.

The United Nations Global Compact calls on companies worldwide to align their strategies and operations with ten universally accepted principles encompassing human rights, labour, the environment, and anti-corruption. Furthermore, it encourages active support of UN goals and issues embodied in the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Established in 2000, the UN Global Compact is a global corporate sustainability initiative. As part of the Compact, members must submit an annual Communication on Progress (COP) report. This report allows participating entities to measure and demonstrate progress, receive insights, learn and improve performance transparently.

Laurence Molke, CEO of CycleØ, said: “As an integrated biomethane producer, sustainable development is at the core of our business. Beyond our commitment to reducing greenhouse gas emissions, creating circular economies, and fostering rural development, we’re taking another further step towards a more equitable and sustainable future for all by joining the UN Global Compact. We’re excited to collaborate with the UN Global Compact Network UK to further implement the Ten Principles into CycleØ’s operations.”

“The core of the United Nations Global Compact’s mission is to support companies doing business responsibly by aligning their strategies and operations with ten universal principles on human rights, labour, environment, and anti-corruption,” said Steve Kenzie, Executive Director, UN Global Compact Network UK. “We also support business taking actions to advance the Sustainable Development Goals. We are delighted and encouraged by CycleØ ’s endorsement of our initiative.”
