Biogas plant undergoing conversation to biomethane production for direct grid injection
Operational since 2012, the Corte Pila, was acquired by Cycle0 in 2025 and has an installed electrical capacity of 1 MW. At acquisition, it was using 47,000 tonnes per annum of agriculture feedstock (primarily slurry, manure and silage) to produce electricity, but in advanced stages of transition to biomethane production.
When complete, this will enable an average production of 44 GWh per annum of biomethane from mid-2026, for direct injection into a new gas grid injection point also being constructed as part of Cycle0 overall investment plans in Italy.
